Three Ways to Work Together
Fixed prices where scope is fixed, ranges where it isn't, and a starting point for ongoing work. You'll know the number before we start, not after. Have questions first?
Data Audit
Every engagement starts here. Pick the tier that matches your setup — you'll get an exact number confirmed on a short scoping call, not a surprise invoice.
Single Workspace
1 Databricks workspace, under 20 tables, under 10 reports.
$3,500–$4,500
Flat fee — 3–5 business days
- Architecture & pipeline review
- Data quality spot-check
- Power BI report review
- Written findings & roadmap
Multi-Workspace
Multiple workspaces or catalogs, moderate report count.
$7,500–$12,000
Flat fee — 1–2 weeks
- Everything in Small, plus:
- Full governance & access review
- Cost & performance analysis
- Executive readout session
Enterprise
Multiple workspaces or tenants, complex governance needs.
From $18,000
Custom quote — 2–4 weeks
- Everything in Medium, plus:
- Multi-stakeholder interviews
- Compliance-aware governance review
- Scoped on a call before quoting
Most single-workspace setups land in Small. Running Databricks across more than one business unit, or juggling multiple Power BI workspaces feeding different teams, usually means Medium. Enterprise scope varies too much to price sight-unseen, so that tier gets a short call before a number goes out.
The Build
The lakehouse and pipelines that sit under your reporting — engineered and automated.
$15k–$60k
Fixed project fee — scoped upfront
- Priced by number of data sources and complexity
- Automated ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Power BI connected and refreshing on its own
- Fixed price agreed before work begins — no surprises
Most single-source-to-Power-BI builds land near the low end. Multi-system builds (ERP + CRM + e-commerce + custom feeds) or tighter timelines land higher. You'll get an exact number after the audit — not a guess.
Care Plan
Every Care Plan covers monitoring and fixes. Add DataQ Guardian™ if you want your data quality actively enforced — not just checked when something breaks.
Care Plan
Ongoing monitoring and support so the system stays reliable after launch.
$2,500
Per month — cancel anytime
- Pipeline monitoring and issue resolution
- Small enhancements and new data sources as needed
- Defined response-time commitment, in writing
Care Plan + DataQ Guardian
Everything in Standard, plus AI-assisted, human-approved data quality enforcement. Up to 15 tables.
$5,000
Per month — up to 15 tables
- Everything in Standard, plus:
- AI-proposed rules, human-approved before going live
- Continuous enforcement on every pipeline run
- Quarantine for records that fail hard checks
- Weekly Data Reliability Audit (DRA) report
Care Plan + DataQ Guardian
Everything in Guardian, scaled for larger environments. 16–30 tables.
$7,500
Per month — 16–30 tables
- Everything in Guardian, plus:
- Higher table & rule volume covered
- Monthly executive trend summary
- Priority review turnaround
Discover & Profile
We scan your bronze-layer tables and build a baseline profile — row counts, types, null rates, patterns — before any rule exists.
AI-Assisted Rules, Human Approved
An AI model proposes candidate data quality rules. Nothing goes live until a person reviews and approves it — never a black box.
Continuous Enforcement
Approved rules run on every pipeline execution, flagging or quarantining bad records, and produce a shareable DRA report.
Most clients monitor their core operational tables — customers, transactions, and a handful of reference tables — which typically lands in the 10–15 range. Larger or multi-department environments (30+ tables) get a custom quote, since rule review and reporting scale with complexity, not just row count.
Before you ask, here's the answer.
Straight answers to what most people ask before hiring us — no jargon, no upsell.
What is Databricks, in plain terms? +
It's a platform that pulls all your company's data into one place, cleans it up, and makes it ready for reporting and AI — so your Power BI dashboards are built on data that's actually accurate.
How do I know which audit tier is right for me? +
Most single-workspace setups land in Small — that's the right fit if you're running one Databricks workspace with a handful of Power BI reports feeding one team.
Medium is the common choice once you're running multiple workspaces or catalogs, or your reports serve more than one department. If you're not sure, start the conversation and we'll confirm the right tier together before anything is billed — you'll never be charged for a bigger scope than you actually need.
Do I have to give up Power BI? +
No. Databricks and Power BI work together — Databricks handles the data engineering underneath, Power BI stays exactly as your reporting layer. You're not ripping anything out.
Is Databricks more expensive than Microsoft Fabric? +
Not necessarily. Fabric charges for a fixed capacity pool whether it's busy or not. Databricks charges per second of actual compute used — so if your pipelines run a few hours a night instead of 24/7, you're only billed for that time.
For steady, always-on Microsoft-only workloads, Fabric's bundled pricing can come out cheaper. For everything else, Databricks usually wins on efficiency.
Why not just use Fabric since we're already on Microsoft? +
That's a fair instinct, and if your needs are simple, Fabric can be the right call. Databricks tends to make more sense once your data gets messier, bigger, or you want more engineering flexibility — and it still connects cleanly to the Microsoft tools you already use.
We're a small team — is this overkill for us? +
Usually not. The point isn't scale for scale's sake — it's replacing manual, error-prone spreadsheet work with something that runs itself. Small teams often benefit the most, because there's no one to manually babysit a report every week.
How long does a typical build take? +
It depends on how many data sources you have and how messy they are. A first working pipeline for a small business is often a matter of weeks, not months — we'll scope this on the initial call.
What happens after the build — do you disappear? +
No. We offer ongoing support and monitoring after launch, so pipelines that break get fixed and reports stay reliable — you're not left holding a system you don't understand.
Why work with HDVue Tech Solutions instead of a larger firm? +
We stay intentionally small. The same certified engineer and the same Delivery Lead work your engagement from first call to final handoff — no hand-offs between sales, architects, and junior consultants filling in along the way.
Is my data safe and private? +
Yes — data stays in your own cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP), under your control, governed with proper access permissions. Nothing is copied to a third party as part of the build.
What happens if someone's unavailable — sick, traveling, slammed? +
You have two dedicated points of contact throughout the engagement, not one — engineering and delivery. If one of us is out, the other already knows exactly where things stand.
Everything is also documented as we go — pipeline logic, data flows, and project status aren't locked in one person's head. Every contract includes a clear response-time commitment, so you know what to expect.
